About

What is SANEPIC

SANEPIC is a free software for the reduction of data from bolometers detectors. It was initially designed for use with a specific balloon-base experiment, BLAST. SANEPIC was originally written at UBC , and has been fully revised, modularized and generalized to other bolometer array at IAS for use with Herschel/SPIRE detectors.

Supported Instruments

At the moment, SANEPIC is working with Herschel/SPIRE, Herschel/PACS and BLAST, and has been tested with LABoCa. and NIKA data.

Implementation

SANEPIC is implemeted in C/C++ and uses several libraries. For more details about those libraries and links to archives, go to the Install section. SANEPIC also works in multiprocessing environement, either with symetric multiprocessor system or clusters of computers using the MPI scheme where operations are splitted between a user defined number of processors/computers.

Support

For questions or bug reports, you can contact one of those two person at IAS/IDOC : Alexandre Beelen or Karin Dassas. You can also use the SourceForge ticketing system.

Developpers

SANEPIC initialy received the support of UBC and APC, and more recently IAS, U-Psud, CNRS and CNES.

The initial version was developped by Guillaume Patanchon, and the actual version was developped by Matthieu Husson and Alexandre Beelen.
